WB Ray Texans Working Hard for A Great Cause

Do you recognize these Divas?  Read below for clues!

Hi Fellow Texans.

This year, I am president of a FANTASTIC organization the Assistance League of San Antonio (a
non-profit that has 8 philanthropic programs that do incredible things for children all over San
Antonio) and Donna Coyne (Briscoe) is president of our Auxiliary, the Bexar Hugs.

Every year these 2 ladies in those positions get to ride in the Battle of Flowers Parade during Fiesta in an antique car. This year it was a BEAUTIFUL Pierce Arrow. (My dad would have LOVED it). The antique car section of the parade had to follow a specific theme and this year it was TEXAS ICONS....we chose BUDDY HOLLY.

Wanted to send you some pictures of Donna (Briscoe) and I riding in our float entry (we took 3rd
place) with Buddy Holly driving (well, he was as cute as Buddy Holly).

We had on our pink scarfs, bobby socks and saddle oxfords and black pointed glitzy sunglasses.  All Donna and I could think was....BACK TOGETHER IN BOBBY SOCKS AFTER 50+ YEARS!!!

Hugs to all and several pictures will follow in class email.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Newlyweds: Jim and Karen Crabb!

I wanted to share some good news. Six months ago I/we went to our 50th reunion and met each other - Jim Crabb and Karen Ferenz (Olson). We hadn’t known each other in high school for lots of reasons .....

We met on Saturday morning at the high school and sat together that night at the dinner.  Danced practically every dance. We liked each well enough that we have been practically joined at the hip ever since acting out the ultimate cliche.  On Mar 27th we got married!

Hope you and yours are well and happy.  Have a great year!

Jim Crabb

Ray Horak & Buster Goff

I synced up with Buster some months ago. Margaret and I were headed to Leavenworth in Eastern Washington so we made a detour of 150 miles or so and met up with Buster and his lovely bride, Diana. We got a two-hour tour of the wineries and vineyards, drank a bunch of wine, bought a bunch of wine, had a great dinner and, in general, had a terrific time. Buster is as sweet and genuine a guy as ever and Diana is a real sweetheart.

APF a photo of Buster and me. Hope and trust all is well with you and yours! BTW we all plan to be at the next reunion. Hope to see you there!
